Hi my name is Sandra Taylor, I have two children and two step children. I have worked as a early childhood teacher for 24 years.
Over this time I have developed the ability to build strong reciprocal relationships with children, parents and whanau. Through these relationships I aim to form a holistic approach of understanding about the child, enabling me to read their cues and extend their knowledge, while working alongside their whanau.
I believe each child is unique and should be valued as competent and confident learners and through this, I believe play is vital to children’s learning and through using the environment as the third teacher, you can provoke thinking, wonder, curiosity and creativity, allowing children to extend their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
